Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 July 2026
1. Who you're dealing with
NookMarker is a sole proprietorship of Talha Khan, based in New Delhi, Delhi, India ("NookMarker", "we"). By using nookmarker.com, app.nookmarker.com, or the NookMarker browser extension, you agree to these terms.
2. The service
NookMarker is a bookmark manager with notes, project boards, to-dos, and related tools. Every tool is unlimited on your own device on every plan. Freemium needs no account and works entirely on your device. Basic is the free signed-in plan: it adds private cloud backup up to a published number of items per feature, which we may change from time to time; anything above that stays on your device only. Premium is a paid plan that removes those limits — all of it backed up and synced. If Premium lapses, the account returns to Basic and continues to sync within the Basic limits; the cloud copy of anything above them is removed after 30 days, and we email three warnings before that happens. Data on your own device is never touched. We may also remove the cloud copy of an account that has not been signed in to for twelve months, after emailing two warnings; signing in cancels it.
3. Accounts
You must be at least 18 to create an account. Give accurate information, keep your password to yourself, and treat activity under your account as yours. The free tier needs no account at all.
4. Payments
Prices are in Indian Rupees, inclusive of all applicable taxes, and shown in the pricing section of our homepage. Payments are processed by Razorpay. Premium is sold as prepaid packs — 1 month, 6 months, or 1 year — each a one-time payment for that period. There is no auto-renewal and no saved payment mandate: when a pack ends it simply expires, and you choose whether to buy another. We'll remind you by email before your Premium expires.
5. Refunds and cancellation
Every payment carries a 7-day, no-questions-asked refund. Because Premium is prepaid, there is nothing to cancel — your access simply runs to the end of the period you paid for. The full policy is on the Refunds & Cancellation page.
Deleting your account is not a refund request, and the two are separate: if you are still inside your 7-day refund window, ask for the refund before you delete, because deletion also removes your account's link to that payment.
6. If your Premium ends
Your data is never held hostage. Everything on your device stays fully usable — the app has no feature limits on any plan. Cloud syncing stops, and your cloud copy stays viewable and exportable for 30 days after the subscription ends; after that it is permanently deleted, as described in the Privacy Policy. Renewing within those 30 days resumes syncing with your cloud copy intact.
7. Your content is yours
We claim no ownership of anything you save. You grant us only the technical permission needed to store your content and show it back to you on your devices. We do not access it except as needed to operate the service or as required by law, and we do not use it for advertising or to train anything.
8. Fair use
Don't use NookMarker to store or distribute unlawful content; don't attack, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the service; don't resell access to it. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. You may delete your own account at any time, from Settings → Profile inside the app.
9. No guarantees
The service is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it fast and available, but we promise no specific uptime. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you hold under Indian consumer law that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. If NookMarker ever shuts down
If we ever have to discontinue the service, you get at least 90 days' notice by email, an export window for that entire period, and a pro-rata refund of any prepaid time you haven't used.
11. Delivery
NookMarker is a digital service: access is available immediately after payment. Nothing is shipped.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will email account holders at least 15 days before they take effect; continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Indian law. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, Delhi, India.
